i am a regular twitter user, like many attempts at non lyrical compositions, i use twitter as a way to self-communicate, i find myself drowning under an endless torrent of tangents and egotism. i find this very entertaining. one of the things i enjoy most about twitter is it allows me to feel connected to the artists i most enjoy, trent reznor, david lynch etc. etc.

being the type who lives his work, my art, i endear my most humble gratitude to my influences, trent reznor of nine inch nails is one of those many influences, 'the becoming' is one of my favorite songs of all time.

i imagine that i am not unique in my interest in developing even the most delicate lane of communication with those who have empowered my creativity and/or have provided me with entertainment. i also appreciate that these people have much more money than i do, i also appreciate that these people have had the kind of impact i am struggling to gain (with no compromise) i also appreciate that like any normal adult person, these people have sensitivities, that negativity is just childish and we are fortunate to have heard these voices and been entertained by them.

why join the creative community with intentions of destroying it? seems moronic to me.

and i admit that even i have trouble 'playing with others' i can be over critical, 'perfection oriented' and can be easily persauded by VALUE over FINANCE which are two different things.

but i give EVERYONE a chance, even if they don't make music by nature, i give EVERYONE a chance, even if they have nothing offer but interest, everyone gets a CHANCE with me, they all blow it, but hey, i try

i don't understand a generation of people who seem dedicated to defamation of the self, i don't understand a generation of people who don't respect those who have sacrificed home and health to bring them great music. i don't understand a generation of people who don't understand terms like 'boss-man' use phrases like 'yes sir' or have any comprehension of proportion,

if you think twitter has provided you with an opportunity to critique fame culture, you are dead wrong, simply said: you will almost definately end up hurting yourself and your name/project. just grow up. these people are opportunities and entertainers that demand respect like anyone else.

the very thought puts you on the map for a beating, its a math thing.

heaven has no heroes
god is truly dead
behind your eyes
cascades of wrath

help me, touch me, save me
welcome to hell

hell is inside your reasons
hell is inside the earth
hell is inside the ticking time
hell is inside your birth

help me, touch me, save me
welcome to hell

i'm logging into twitter...i'm visiting the david lynch page...i'm now following david lynch.

for future reference, david lynch was one of the champions of underground filmaking in the 1970's, he was a surrealist who basically did more painting on film then 'film making' in the traditional sense. frame for frame, his most well known film 'eraserhead' is a masterwork which explores the fear of human biology and the conception to birth process which is accented by a hard industrialism reflecting a time spent in dread of nowhere philadelphia. eraserhead is a piece of incontestable substance, depth and texture to concept, made on virtually no budget.

although the work itself has never been anything i particularly enjoy visually, being that i would agree to many reviews citing eraserhead as more an exercise in 'poor taste' in contrast to being a 'production for theater', i can relate to david lynch's limitations at that time, and how the creative process does not stop at ANY dollar figure.

therefore, i am following david lynch, i find this interesting for at one point i defollowed david lynch in observation of it being simply presumptuous, what place do i have to assume that this person would ever be interested in my output, as i am only marginally interested in his and i have yet to make a significant impact that would demand such attention, outside of 'the ink will bleed' which, although i guess its a decent track, i feel and i know 'far away' as a demo (which all this content is) has greater potential and is in fact inarguably, a better song ('used' being probably the best of the 3).

it is behaviour such as this, that i have discovered trending in my own audience, which is what warranted this entry. but i ask myself, 'at what point do i just go out and buy a copy of dune and stop caring?' perhaps sometime in the future, i will be able to work this out with the aformentioned cult director over a MCcafe.

i thought i had been clear...
[info]lonermusic
it returns to annoy me (please read about 3-4 entries back to see more on it) but apparently 'it' paid a visit to my page once again, let it be known that i find this greatly disturbing.

'it' is like that thing that is so repugnant and upsetting that you actually do just have to look away
and you never want to look back.
(that is saying A LOT from me, if its horrific, i usually want a good long look)

but its like stop, go, leave, shut it, burn out, boil up, move on, turn off and scram.

you epitomize irritation with your gross lack of taste, skill, capability
OR ANY REDEEMING QUALITIES OF ANY KIND
and will NEVER be able to earn my confidence.

hopefully there will be a day when people like 'it', who are basically scammers with no potential and no future in this craft will just GIVE UP. i am an artist, i don't really believe in this non-sense, there will come a day when i play absolutely no part in this internet prescence and get farther away from 'it'.

continuity
[info]lonermusic
upon turning my head i have also noticed a collection of blogs that have been written in relation to this project which could be potentially misleading to the casual reader. although my feelings towards the music industry as it stands are overwhelmingly negative, do not let those entries communicate some 'death of music' scenario. i do not believe music is heading towards demise. in fact, i will go as far as to say:

HISTORY IS THE ONLY CRITERIA UPON WHICH WE CAN ANALYZE A SITUATION AND PREDICT ITS POTENTIAL OUTCOME.

in fact, music is growing stronger in digital sales as the compact disc dies and we gel into the next decade.

EXACTLY AS I SAID IT WOULD 2 YEARS AGO

to be completely honest with the audience, i am telling you that you and your culture happen to be on the border of a total content shift. the artists of the next decade will once again lay to rest all the idols of yesterday while todays idols will turn into popculture dust. much like the 60-70's period, the 80's to 90's period, the classical to the romantic era.

TO ARGUE THIS POINT IS TO ARGUE WITH THE ONLY LOGICAL DEDUCTION

despite trends and statistics, the simple explanation is this:
you have a collection of rock solid artists who compose the majority of popular music sales. they release albums over the course of a twenty year period.
the last half doing more to detract from new artists who grew up watching them and are more interested in the FAME they grew up with than the ART that justified it. while those artists languish, the 3rd generation has to struggle to keep its head above water and eventually with those artists the cycle repeats.

SO WHAT SHOULD YOU LOOK FORWARD TO?

probably a generation of mega-artists who are familiar with all the aspects of content production

LIFE HAS ITS BALANCE, I DON'T LIE WHEN I SAY GOOD THINGS ARE COMING.

upon turning my head...
[info]lonermusic
i have noticed some extremely negative aspects of what i have achieved to this point.
i am currently calculating my options and the most beneficial of them.

i have managed to earn over the course of about six months a steady stream of 60 different listeners a day with a reasonable number of repeat plays while managing to accrue new fans/friends and listeners on a daily basis.

i have also become aware of theft.
for future reference, i am not some basement buddy act. i am not your midnight savior.
and i am not for free. i am not the type to SETTLE with something small. something genre. something LAME.
i do not need a clever costume to sell music. period.
the release of the e.p. does not constitute a right to steal.

and in a course of review over a 2 week period in which i allowed a decay of promotions, i have discovered an alarming number of people across the board who claim to have aquired my music in methods unbecoming to the project in and of itself.

WHAT EXACTLY DOES THIS MEAN?

a wayward group of listeners have tainted this project, its direction, its output and its potential for everyone.

WHAT THE HELL MAN?

although i have released 'the ink will bleed' e.p. and it has yielded my sales expectation, i will be soon pulling it from the market in fear of future rights issues that could inhibit project growth.

WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN?

essentially, i am the type of artist that conforms to no standard other than his own, i work within my own insanity and still expect label support. my musical virtues include but are not limited to: i do not invest. i work with what i have. i WAIT for the RIGHT people to get involved.

i am not chasing you because i don't have to. it is that simple. if you don't like me:

YOU HAVE A PROBLEM

i will be releasing SOME new music and will continue on a similar course as i have been, with some minor alterations that will have an ENORMOUS impact on the outcome.............

i have noticed a large number of loner followers who access my content via the thread which has been listed and submitted to various promoters,

for those users who have not actually heard the music associated with the madness
i have below posted my preferred player.

it is my current assertion that fan-bridge is not a trust worthy provider of mailing list services,

i therefore have returned to sole use of the original mailing list which is powered by bravenet, which has proven itself to be a trust worthy source of content services.

i would like to deliver an enormous apology to anyone who has signed up via fan bridge.

unfortunately, everytime i have logged into my fanbridge since sign up has proven to be a computer crashing disaster,

i will address this further in a personal video segment which will be featured throughout the entire loner content stream relatively soon.

on another note, i will soon be providing some more options to listeners which will include contests and remixes and some cool free stuff, which i've been short of lately.

i can say that being a young/new artist with an oldschool mindset does not make it any easier. although i can say this:

loner is not a community based project
it is my job as an artist to bring content to people
and i have my ways that i am familiar with doing that,

the producers of the interface have been paid
and i am delivering my content,

people wonder why entertainment sucks anymore, because corporate america simply cannot let it evolve on its own. they live in a constant state of edit trying to see what they can get you to buy, and the earning potential of the various pastel ventures. the past ten years have proven that what busness men sell is essentially not what people want as seen in the decline of the music industry. do you honestly blame the internet? really. if someone wants something, they want something, not some digital representation there of. why do you think the world has gone Ipod nuts. the ipod allows us to have music in some sense of a physical state. and there a very few sellers of mp3 music materials, but just enough to say that it is the modern medium, we have another 20 years to evolve. it doesn't change the fact that music sales still simply do not compare to what they had been before the napster conflict. i read the charts and i read the returns, the things you sell suck. that is why i play an entirely different sport, i am not simply a D.I.Y. artist with no equipment what so ever,. i am a d.i.y. artist with fan base that reaches 250 people a day and gains 30-50 fans a day. with almost no effort, and no investment at all. so all the folks who think they are so fucking wonderful and capable b/c they throw the money down and make the leap--should realize that it does not mean that what you are doing is any good. i would play a high class act if i felt that people i am being categorized with were high class acts. i would not play a show next to A.F.I. , Atreyu, the ATARIs, or any of these shitty talentless pastel marketing decisions. i would not make music that suggests that i should be, if these groups define the modern sound, then the modern sound sucks .

i am your white knight and the nice boy next door with a guitar isn't going to save you from me and my horse.

kinda interesting
